Last July 21st our architects Enrique Santi and Joaquín Magrazó travelled to Haiti to present the third phase of the Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine (FAMV) in the State University of Haiti. This phase follows the Base Design presented in May 2016.

The presentation took place in the presence of representatives of both the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development of Haiti (MARNDR) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The premises followed in this Executive Project phase were the main subject of the meeting, more specifically the seismic solutions used in the structure.

Furthermore, the solar protection elements of the façade and the natural air circulation system of the roof make sure Ingennus’ requirements of sustainability and respect to the environment are met.

It should be noted that both the library and the auditorium, the most singular spaces of the faculty, will be placed near the central green area, whereas the classrooms and laboratories have been designed following functional criteria.

Our team will travel back to Haiti in September to present the fourth and last phase of the project, and the construction works are set to begin in the beginning of 2017.
