Ingennus’ Judicial Infrastructure Project in Mali begins a new phase

Our architect partner Alberto Mendo has recently travelled to Mali to the selection committee of the construction company in charge of building the 11-public judicial infrastructure designed by Ingennus.

The selection committee, formed by expert technicians from the Ministry of Justice and the Management Unit of the European Development Fund (CONFED), has thoroughly analyzed the administrative and technical proposals of all the candidates to carry out the construction works of the three lots designed in the project. A total of 17 international construction companies have submitted their candidacy to the public tender process called within the framework of the Mali Justice System Support Program.

This evaluation process has taken place during eight sessions at the CONFED’s headquarters in Bamako and it concludes the designing phase of the Judicial Infrastructure Project in Mali.

So far, Ingennus has focused its work, on the one hand, on the restoration of Bafoulabé’s Lower Court, Bollé’s Juvenile Detention Center and Bamako’s Central Prison. On the other hand, we have also worked on the design of eight new Lower and High Courts in several regional capitals: Sikasso, Nioro du Sahel, Ségou, Koutiala, Bla, Yorosso, Kignan and Tominian.

Having concluded the design of the project, the construction of the buildings will start soon. Ingennus will carry out the works supervision tasks and in order to do so we will have expert technicians in each location, besides having our experts in Spain travel regularly to Mali.
