Graduated in Architecture from the University of Navarra in 1980, specialising in Urbanism. He has expanded his training with courses specialising in urbanism, planning management, urbanisation legislation, urban renovation, bioclimatic architecture and recently processes of restructuring and requalification of challenging neighbourhoods.

His 30 plus years of professional activity have focused in particular on urban planning and design, as well as urban regeneration. He has won different awards and distinctions in recognition of several of his works. He shares his professional dedication with the violin, which he plays and he is also an amateur luthier.

He is a Project Management Professional (PMP), certified by the Project Management Institute.
