Real Madrid Sports Complex Extension

ampliación de la ciudad deportiva del real madrid

The proposal covered the construction of a new covered pavilion and two natural turf football pitches, one with stands.

The covered pavilion enables a double configuration of use and functionality both for sports practice and for holding certain types of events. The plan is that the pavilion will be regularly used for basketball training and competitive matches. One of the tracks will be used by the first team for training and the other three by lower categories for training and competitive matches. The different uses enable events to be held, such as assemblies, awarding badges, etc., and the maximum capacity is 2,000.

The proposal included a study on traffic flows, uses and arrangement of spaces, in order to relate this with the rest of the buildings in the Sports City and its approaches. The pavilion section was worked on to provide it with suitable natural light, with no artificial lighting, on the entire surface area of the pitch. The covered section includes a technical plant for the location and management of maintenance of all the facilities.

The proposal was carried out within the framework of a restricted bid, in which we participated with the construction company OHL.
