Zaragoza Mercado

This morning, the City Council of Zaragoza has awarded  the Central Market Masterplan to Ingennus Urban Consulting and the Basque company Baika. Our consortium won the tender ahead of other four proposals.

Both companies will work under the supervision of the city municipal housing corporation, Zaragoza Vivienda, and public participation will be one of the key aspects of the final Master Plan, scheduled for October 2016.

Our consortium previous experience working on the local heritage sites and managing similar markets around the country,   as well as the potential of our multidisciplinary team, have been our main competitive advantages to have been awarded this project. This Plan will include the guidelines to follow on the future remodeling works of these historical, touristic and commercial premises.

It is expected to combine its traditional nature with other complementary uses focused on consumption and healthy habits, leisure, training and culture. This is a great opportunity to improve the connection between the neighborhoods of San Pablo and El Temple, to revive this area and to preserve it as  meeting point.
