Our work in Nouakchott is based on the design and supervision of the construction of three of the tallest buildings in the city: two office and commercial blocks located between Charles De Gaulle and Gamal Abder Nasser avenues (LOT 1: Basement + Ground + 15 and LOT 7/8: Basement + Ground + 10), and the new headquarters of the Islamic Finance Bank, on Kennedy Avenue (Lot M98 + Basement + Ground + 6). The project was promoted by SMID (Société Mauritanienne d’Importation et Distribution), part of the WAFA Group.
The construction of this complex, which will be one of the tallest in the city, is characterized by its high energy efficiency, as it has been created with the reduction of primary energy consumption in mind.
This action will represent a major step forward for this city, which has experienced strong economic and population growth in recent years. It is expected, therefore, to create a modern business center offering quality services, turning this area into an engine for the transformation and modernization of the country.
To avoid the presence and future affection of the water table, on the one hand, diaphragm walls and foundation slabs have been built to guarantee current and future watertightness, and, on the other hand, a structure based on solid reinforced concrete pillars and slabs of varying strengths depending on the stresses.
